Agnihotra Ash
With each Agnihotra that is performed, one receives a highly energized ash. If possible, leave the ash in the pyramid until the next performance because it acts like a catalyst for the energy.
The cooled ash is removed before the next Agnihotra. Coarse ash and ghee remains are best removed with a wooden spatula or a hard paintbrush (no pointed or sharp-edged objects should be used). During the winter, it may be helpful to briefly place the pyramid on a heating unit before the removal of the remains, in order to warm up the ghee residue
The Agnihotra Ash can be used in many ways. In most cases it is used in powder form.
1. In the Garden and in Farming
The ash powder should be sparingly spread by hand over garden beds and fields, preferably with the help of wind. A handful is enough for 30 square meters. This can be repeated every 2 weeks. Caution: use only a pinch with potted plants.
During droughts it is favorable to apply a mixture of ash and water onto the plants. One can calculate 1 to 4 teaspoons to a 10 liter watering can. Let this stand at least one day so that the water may become energetically charged. Water the plants every 2 weeks with this ( it is sufficient when each plant receives a few drops). In case of plant diseases or pest attacks, depending on their needs and growth, increase the dosage and water more often. If you're managing a larger area, (according to our experiences) 5 tablespoons of ash to 200 liters of water (or 20 tablespoons of ash to 1000 l) are enough.
2. Treatment of trees
Spread the ash ( in fine or rough form) in a circular pattern under the perimeter of the crown. When needed, spray the trunks, branches, and leaves 4-5 times a year with Agnihotra ash water. To make it, add 1-2 teaspoons of Agnihotra ash to 5 liters of water and let stand for 3 days. Then filter it through a fine cloth.
Trees with wounds can be treated with an Agnihotra ash ointment.
How To Make Agnihotra Ash Ointment
Take one part ash powder and mix with 9 parts ghee (clarified butter). Mix well and fill into a suitable vessel. Apply thinly onto affected areas.
If a tree is very sick, it is of great help to frequently perform Homa fires in its proximity. Among other things, through this we were able to save an old and very sick apple tree. Since then, it has pleased us with very high and healthy yields.
3. Treatment of Animals
We have had good experiences when Agnihotra ash is applied in powder form - externally upon wounds or on diseased parts of the body.
According to reports from people who practice Agnihotra, we would like to pass on the following experiences:
In cattle breeding, in cases of infections, rashes, and badly healing wounds, Agnihotra ash and ghee (or milking salve) are mixed in a ratio of 1 : 9 ( in some cases a higher ash concentration is used ) and applied to the stricken areas of the body. Great successes have been achieved through this; even in cases when veterinarians, despite all possible means available, could not bring about improvement.
When domestic animals are attacked by ticks, after their removal apply a mixture of Agnihotra ash-powder and ghee to the wounds. This leads to a faster healing of the wounds.
With bees, Agnihotra ash is used as follows: fine Agnihotra powder is filled into large salt-shaker (dispenser). With it, the ash is strewn on each individual frame of a hive and carefully blown into the slits and crevices. Thereafter, the bees begin to clean themselves - thereby stripping away any possible adhering mites. This is carried out with each colony in the spring during the first or second inspection, and in the fall when the feeding is completed.
This treatment is also undertaken after swarming and when parts of the colonies are transferred to new hives.
Besides this, the bee colonies receive some ash (1 pinch well-mixed with 3 liters) with the first feeding in the fall.
An amazing account came from a woman with severe diabetes, who reported: normally she was not able to ingest honey because her blood-sugar levels would otherwise shoot up. At some point, to her surprise, she realized that this did not happen with honey from Homa production. Her tolerance of it was exceptional.
4. For People
Agnihotra ash-powder is very helpful as well. Accounts of experiences with, and information about it, may be found under:

Sick plants can be sprayed with a spray solution. Up to 4 tablespoons of ash powder are added to 5 liters of water. Let stand at least a day - better 3 days. Then filter the ash water through a coffee filter or a linen cloth, otherwise the powder could clog the spray nozzle. Use once a week, or more often during acute infestation.
Further possibilities of ash application may be found under Homa Farming.
